Kurukshetra is a holy city in the state of Haryana, India. It is famous for being one of the centre-points of the Epic Mahabharata. Kurukshetra is a region named after King Kuru, the ancestor of Pandavas and Kauravas. 

                               Places to Visit In Kurukshetra

                                    1.Brahama sarovar

It is Asia's largest man-made sarovar. Hinduism lays emphasis on taking bath for internal and external purity.





2.Krishna Museum

This is an amazing museum belongings on lord Shri Krishna's life, very helpful for the whole information on Shri Krishna's life and only very nominal tickets charge for adults.





3.Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple

The ancient Sthaneshwar Mahadev Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva is situated in Thanesar, a holy town in the Kurukshetra district of Haryana. It was here that the Pandavas along with Krishna prayed to Lord Shiva and received his blessings for victory in the battle of Mahabharata.



  


4.Jyotisar 

This is the place where God Shri Krishna delivered the eternal message of Bhagavad Gita to Arjun under the banyan tree. Every year on the occasion of Gita Jayanti a grand festival celebrated here. Local transport for Jyotisar is available from Brahma Sarovar and Railway Station Kurukshetra.


5.Sheikh Chilli Tomb

An amazing place to hangout with your friends. ₹25/person is the entry fee for Indians. The place is surrounded with lush green grass and is maintained on a regular basis. This place is generally filled with college students and is a perfect place to click portraits.



6. Panorma Scientific museum

Most Famous and Scientific as well as Enjoyable Place In Kurukshetra. The building is good and well maintained. Various instruments in the science centre are really exciting and also funny. It is huge science centre which nearly requires 2 hours to saw completely. Nice place and clean also and the staff is also polite.
